By accessing or using Discover Tamil ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Discover Tamil is an educational platform designed to help users learn the Tamil language and culture through interactive games, AI-powered tutoring, podcasts, and cultural content.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important Disclaimer:

  • AI Content: Significant portions of our educational content, including stories, explanations, quizzes, and tutoring responses, are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Accuracy Not Guaranteed: While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, cultural misrepresentations, or outdated information. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
  • Educational Purpose Only: Content is provided for general educational purposes only and should not be relied upon for academic certification, professional qualifications, or legal purposes.
  • Human Review: We endeavor to have native Tamil speakers review content, but not all content may be reviewed before publication.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Discover Tamil, its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • We are NOT liable for any errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in content, including AI-generated content.
  • We are NOT liable for any learning outcomes, academic performance, or professional results based on use of the Service.
  • We are NOT liable for any decisions made based on information provided by the Service.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

5. Responsible AI Use

We are committed to responsible AI practices:

  • AI systems are designed to be helpful, harmless, and honest
  • We do not use AI to deceive or manipulate users
  • AI-generated content is clearly identified where practical
  • We actively work to reduce bias in our AI systems
  • User data is not used to train third-party AI models without consent
  • We provide mechanisms to report AI errors or concerns

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Service
  • Provide accurate information when creating an account
  • Report any errors or issues you discover
  • Not use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Discover Tamil are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Tamil classical literature (such as Thirukkural) is in the public domain.

8. Subscription and Payments

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Payment terms, refund policies, and subscription details will be provided at the time of purchase through the App Store.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia.
